I was turned away by the waiter here, who shrugged and said he could not help me in locating a seat. Our group of three was left wondering wether to stay or go and eventually found the hostess who was more helpful but apologetic. 5:30pm on a Wednesday and no seating available.

Solid spot. The Soviet overall design is very cool. Tons of vodkas to try, interesting beer selection as well. Try the sliders, you won't regret it.

Oh and be sure to put your drinks down in respect of the Soviet national anthem which plays at midnight.

Anyone who deals with gold and silver coins, jrweles, those sort of folks. However be aware of the laws. The Government is "funny" about people privately owning large quantities of precious metals.I also wouldn't have it tested anywhere near where I resided, or did buisness. You don't need people knowing you own a silver bar that large. This may sound odd, but silver has a distinctive taste. If you have a true pure silver coin, you can give it a taste, and then the bar. It's good that you described "black" as one of it's colors. That's probably athentic patina. There are also acid tests you can purchase yourself to test precious metals, such as gold, silver, and platinum. I believe those are also sold on Ebay.~GarnetPermaculture homesteading/farming over 20 years

We were told that our table is held from 8:30 to 10:30. We got there at 9 and the place was half empty with a lot of available tables but they reused to serve us food. They told us that they gave our table away and we can have drinks at the bar.

The manager suggested that we go next door to eat so we did. We went to Papillon instead. So glad we listened to the manager because the other place was absolutely amazing with knowledgeable and super friendly staff. If you're not Eastern European, you will be treated horribly so don't even bother. There are so many nicer and classier places to go to in Toronto.
