20111125-prairiegirl-01.jpgPrairie Girl Bakery has opened its second location in Toronto, this one in the PATH inside First Canadian Place. Already, it's more popular with office workers lining up for a sugar rush. Here's our review of their first location.

They still have crappy cupcakes.

What a big let down, the cupcakes were too dense and they put too much frosting. All four cupcakes were just ok. The red velvet had a weird after taste maybe too much food coloring. Don't waste your money.

Cupcake had no flavor and was frosting was greasy. I felt gross after I ate it. You don't want to feel like crap after eating a cupcake. Worst cupcake experience.

Wow! best cupcakes ever and a great afternoon pick me up! The gluten free ones are all amazing! Yes, the amount of icing may induce a sugar coma, but it's well worth it!

A good cupcake need not "induce a sugar coma". The cupcakes at Prairie Girl lack flavor so they load it up with sugar and they dye the frosting. If you want over processed, bland, way too sweet, grainy cupcakes then this is your place.

What a great cupcake. I really enjoyed it. When my mom brought them home I was like WOW, it just blew me away how good they were.

Praire Girl cupcakes are on par with Sobey's or Loblaws. The type of person who's buying cupcakes here is the same who buy coffee at Coffee-Time or 7 Eleven.

Not a good snack at all. Very store-bought flavour and so little for your money. I prefer the cake slices at Timothy's, just a few steps away. Plus they serve coffee too.

In my opinion, they have two flavours, 'gross' and 'bad'. I bought a dozen assorted 2 weeks ago and i was so disappointed when I brought them to a family members house for dessert. It was embarrassing. It felt and tasted like I was chewing a sponge. :(

Don't waste you money on cupcakes from Prairie Girl, they are not very good. Only thing I could taste was sugar. I agree cake slices at Timothy's are better tasting and better value for the money.
