Everything here is not baked on-site it comes in from the central facility that supplies Second Cup and frozen Loblaws products. If you want fresh baked good check-out Dlish Cupcakes and Nadege just down the street.

I'm glad someone finally called them out! They don't bake anything onsite. Everything is brought in a refrigerated truck. This place has gone done hill.

It was my first time there and I was optimistic since everyone that have been gave positive review. Maybe this was only a one time thing but I received poor customer service and left confused and frustrated. When my friends and I were picking the cakes, the nice lady came over and helped us, introduce the different varieties and told us that the piece of cake we picked was on special for only $2.50. We enjoyed the cake, had a nice relaxing time at the cafe, and when it's time to pay, that's when we received the attitude. The guy at the cashier rung up the price to be around $6 after tax, so we told him the lady told us it's special for $2.50. He said that is only on Wednesday (the day we went was on Thursday) so we wanted to ask the lady that had served us if he was correct. The lady wouldn't even make eye contact with us and ignored us the whole time. She clearly heard the dispute between us and the cashier but said nothing. She could just apologize for her mistake, but all we got were silence. The cashier then said, "I'm not even gonna bother arguing with you guys" and angrily punched in 2.50 + tax on the cash register. We paid and I even gave him a 50 cent tips because I honestly felt sorry for him to be caught in his but we left and were displeased at how we felt victimized for a mistake we did not make. Not a pleasant first time experience for sure.

on a quest for best desserts/cakes/cupcakes. Tried the truffle cake tarts with decorative chocolate flower. I love super sweet and lots of chocolate so this was good and had a gooey centre. Also tried the brownie now i have had better brownies. But this was all smooth and had a butter icing. it was very different from any other brownie I had so it was worth it just for that reason i guess.

I would like to see more slice options not having to buy the whole cake. there was only carrot, turtle and one other not so appetizing choices. which is too bad because i came for cake.

Service was nice. and the cafe space is really great.

Way too sweet.

I bought a carrot cake and paid almost $ 20.00.
The cake had been made with good ingredients.
Unfortunately too much sugar make their desserts way too sweet and you don't feel good after eating it.
I wish they would make pastries where we can taste the flavor of cake per say not just the sugar.
About reducing sugar by 50 % and promoting it.
I am sure clients would go for it and we know that sugar is not too good health wise.
