Twitter account detailed Jian Ghomeshi abuse in April

The Jian Ghomeshi sexual abuse scandal just keeps getting worse and worse by the minute. Amid the news that at least eight women, including Trailer Park Boys actress Lucy DeCoutere, allegedly suffered physical and sexual assault at the hands of the CBC host, a Twitter account, @bigearsteddy, has been discovered detailing allegations as early as April.

Several of the accusations were retweeted at the time, but now that the Toronto Star has published accounts that reference the same bear, the tweets are getting increased attention.

Star investigative reporter Kevin Donovan writes that two women recall Ghomeshi owning a stuffed animal he called "Big Ears Teddy." When he was preparing to slap or choke the women, he would turn the bear around and say "Big Ears Teddy shouldn't see this."

So far Ghomeshi has been silent since posting a Facebook message blaming his firing from the CBC on "a jilted ex girlfriend and a freelance writer."

On CP24 earlier this evening, Toronto Star editor Michael Cooke said he believes the former host of Q is in Los Angeles.

Here are some of the @bigearsteddy tweets. The content may be triggering.
