Poetry Face Off in Final Stretch

april1006_poetryfaceoff.jpgLocal poet and spoken word artist, Michelle Muir, is the winner of the Toronto segment of the 5th Annual Poetry Face Off.

The competition, organized by CBC Radio 1 now has 14 finalists from across the nation.

Final voting for a winner is happening on their website right now until Tuesday night at minuit. The winner will be announced Monday on Sounds Like Canada.

I heard Michelle Muir's poem on CBC Radio. It is FANTASTIC!!!! All who haven't heard ,should find a way to heard it!

Really really really want to hear the recording of Michelle Muir's win in the poeetry contest of 06 for her creation and read of "plannet Irresistible". Very very much appreciate any trail you can sahre.

CBC Radio is releasing a compilation CD of the 14 finalists of this year's poetry face off on July 30, 2006. Michelle Muir's poem will be on that.
