In The Window: The Luyas, Kurt Vile, Charlie Rich

In this week's installment of In The Window, I hit up Soundscapes to check out their arrangement of albums. So it's CDs instead of vinyl, but big points are given for the elaborate display dedicated to The Luyas album, Too Beautiful to Work.

Jay from Soundscapes recommends...

The Luyas - Too Beautiful To Work
"A Montreal based band. It's a weird and a little bit abstract album. You may like it if you're a fan of Deerhoof - it's similar with female vocals but the arrangements are a little more complex."

Kurt Vile - Smoke Ring For My Halo
"He's doing really well and a lot of people here really like his stuff. He wears his influences very strongly - you can see the 90's influence and his song writing is strong. This album is has a little bit cleaner production, so his song writing really comes through."

Charlie Rich - It Aint Going to be That Way
"I only knew him from his 70's single. This album features a lot of his early singles and has a lot more soul than I expected after hearing that original single."
