New Single and Record Deal Mean More vitaminsforyou

vitaminsforyou (Bryce Kushnier) is ending his year on a great note. "B4U" - the second single off his forthcoming album - was just released as a 12" Download Card on a very cool indie online retailer called the blue house.

Bryce recently told me that he has also signed a record deal with Raw Youth Records - a new label and subsidiary of KOCH Records. They will be announcing a release date for his album "very soon".

Keep reading for more talk with vitaminsforyou and some free mp3's.

Here is the original version of "B4U" and a cool remix by local disco/electro duo TMDP, with Bryce's description of the song:

"It's kind of inspired by this tattoo that my friend Azuree told me she was going to get that said 'Check Yourself'. At this time I was just kicked out this band that I played with and things seemed really sketchy to me in the "party scene" in Toronto. I kind of hated everyone and hated myself and just hated what was going on, but realized that somehow I was a part of it at the same time so I wasn't actually sure why I was so upset. But I thought I should write a song about not only calling out all the bullshit out there but also making sure that I 'check myself' at the same time."

Bonus music! Bryce is giving away a remix/mash-up he made by combining a remix Ottawa's Jokers of the Scene made for his song "Flesh Python" with the popular piano-led club track "Pjanoo" by Eric Prydz. "Me and the Jokers of the Scene love that Prydz track and it was around the same time the JOTS remix for "Flesh Python" came out. I wanted to play both tracks, but it was tough to get two epic tracks in short sets so I thought 'why not just combine them into one track'?

When will vitaminsforyou's amazing three-piece live show hit the stage again in Toronto? "The full band is taking a short break as my drummer tours the world with the other band he plays in and my bass player readies the release of his amazing new film Confessions of a Porn Addict. In the meantime, I still do my DJ monthly at the Drake Lounge this Saturday."
