New Year's Eve Warehouse Parties

This year more than most there seems to be a good selection of warehouse parties in Toronto. Here's three of them that might be good alternatives to the same old overpriced action that is happening in the bar and club scene.

1. Origami New Year's Eve Party - This one promises to be the best warehouse space of the bunch. Located at 1420 Dupont Street West of Landsdowne, this party costs only $22 to get in (includes free snacks and treats from Yasi's Place) and sports a pretty good line up of local DJs and visual talent.

2. alienInFlux + promise - This one should be interesting. The promoters behind the Harvest Festival have rented out the space that's usually used by the MBS Performing Arts Institute at 100 Ossington (between Queen and Argyle). Hello sprung dancefloor. $33 includes a lineup of more than 10 DJs. Visuals by BLANKphoto.

3. Mercer Union's Dirty New Year's Eve Party - Mercer Union's New Year's Eve Parties need no introduction. You can read about the one we wrote about last year. Once again it's at 99 Sudbury but what's extra notable this year is that this will be the last party at 99 Sudbury ever! The building has changed owners. I've heard it's being converted to some sort of racquetball club.
