Your Jerrold-less and very windy morning news roundup for Wednesday January 9th, 2008:

Sure, we all want a day off in February, but maybe it'd be more cost effective for the province if everyone just called in sick instead.

Ontario's SIU has determined that Toronto officers did not commit any criminal offenses in the death of Jasen Drnasin in November of 2006. Drnasin died a few hours after his arrest, and had developed severe brain swelling immediately after his confrontation with Toronto police.

75 people of 200 passengers on board an Air Canada flight coming into Canada from Tel Aviv were quarantined after 8 developed flu-like symptoms during the trip. They were allowed to leave somewhere around 11pm yesterday after they had their temperature taken.

Toronto waterfront condo The Palace Pier recently converted its internal building lighting to LED based alternatives. No word as to whether or not it's Lite-Brite compatible.

Danielle posted her concerns about the, erm, colourful videos that venerable local paper The Sun recently singled out. Some commenters questioned "the bystander effect," while others said we need to nuke the cams and hire more security. Eff it all, we need Adam West.

On that note, this linked video is my favourite Toronto video of 2007. Beyonce. In concert. Topless.
