While the Morning Brew is often filled with snark, chances that it will kill you are near none (we hope). A "homemade brew" consumed in prison, however, is another story. One inmate is dead and a few others ill after they drank moonshine in a Kingston-area penitentiary.

Copper wire is so valuable that thieves are risking their lives to steal it from construction sites and live hydro setups. While it's no surprise that people will go to great lengths to steal, it is rather shocking (pun intended) that people are willing to die trying.

Australians travelling to Canada are being warned by their government about the potential dangers of doing so, including risks of terrorism, avalanches, and earthquakes. I say we follow suit and post warnings about the potential risks of travelling to Australia, including rabid dingo attacks, grave illness by vegemite, and aggressive courtship rituals (everyone will want to be your mate).

A large chunk of Toronto's mainstream theatre is under new management. The appointment of "Dan from Manhattan" means that the Canon theatre will be managed by one company but the property owned by its biggest rival, Mirvish Productions. It's kind of like selling Pepsi in the Coke store, but they're both committed to making it work.

People seem to have mixed feelings about the idea of splitting the Queen St. streetcar into two routes. What do you think? Vote in this poll.
