David Bowie AGO Toronto

David Bowie exhibition coming to the AGO

David Bowie — or at least his clothing — is set to arrive in Toronto this fall when his eponymous exhibition lands at the AGO.

Got a little stardust in your eyes? Are you just a lover of fashion? Good. You'll be able to soak in a little inspiration in the 300 some odd items from Bowie's personal collection. It's a mixed media show, with costumes from Bowie's golden years (such as Ziggy Stardust bodysuits), as well as several videos, photos and set designs. Get a full sense of the display here.

The exhibition comes shortly after the gallery featured the work of punk icon Patti Smith in Camera Solo, though there's no indication that the Bowie will be on hand during its run. Maybe we can get Diamond Rings as a stand in?

The AGO will be the first in North America to show the collection, which usually lives in London, England. There'll be plenty of time to take in the fame, as the exhibit will run from Sept. 25 until Nov. 27, 2013.
