vicuna air pet travel toronto routes

It's about to get easier to take your dog on flights to and from Toronto

Listen up, pet parents: Your beloved pups will soon be able to fly high in the sky — in-cabin and with first-class service — as Vicuna Air adds Toronto to its pet travel routes.

The trailblazing pet aviation company recently announced it is expanding to more cities to give more families the chance to travel without the anxiety of stowing their pets in cargo.

"For too long, pet owners have been asked to accept the unthinkable: a beloved pet locked away in a cage, frightened and alone in the cargo, while you are locked in your own nightmare of panic and uncertainty. We believe there is a better way," Jamie Everett, founder and CEO, Vicuna Air, says in a recent press release.

The airline currently offers three classes. In Biscuit Class, your dog is transported from one airport to another, ready to reunite with you at your final destination.

Biscuit Class Plus is a tier up. All your dog's official in-air paperwork is handled, and pickup and delivery services are included, so there's no stressful airport drop-offs, just a convenient chauffeur service.

And lastly, Furs Class — this one's for those with ultimate separation anxiety from their puppers (me? guilty!) — where dogs travel right in the cabin with their owners.

Though the travel may not be easy on the pocket, it does come with the peace of mind that your furry family member gets its own first-class travel treatment. Current flights range from $1,620 to $9,230, depending on your destination.

The London-based aviation company operates routes from major cities including London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Paris, and Dubai. But flights to and from Milan, Frankfurt and Toronto are "coming soon."

More information on when the new routes will begin operating will be released in the coming months.
