Toronto is getting even more flights to these sunny beach destinations

Just in time for summer travel, Air Canada is ramping up its Mexico routes, with more flights to some beloved destinations.

Air Canada is set to expand its Mexico presence and is even adding a new route this summer. According to a Feb. 17 news release, the airline is set to launch year-round flights from Montreal to Guadalajara and increase seat capacity with more flights to Cancún, Monterrey, Mexico City, and Puerto Vallarta, four "in-demand destinations."

Starting this summer, the Toronto to Monterrey route will include one additional flight, which will see capacity increase from three to four weekly flights.

Travellers from Vancouver will also have more options as the airline is adding one more flight to Puerto Vallarta (to a total of two weekly flights), and an impressive four additional flights to Mexico City, for a total of 11 weekly flights starting June 27.

Montreal will also get four additional flights to Cancún, which brings the total to 11 weekly flights. The new Montreal to Guadalajara route starts on June 2.

Flights can now be purchased on Air Canada's website.

Travellers heading to Mexico can choose between premium and economy cabins. All Air Canada flights to Mexico feature free beer, wine, premium Canadian snacks, and complimentary award-winning in-flight entertainment for all customers, plus fast, free Wi-Fi for all Aeroplan Members.

"We continue to expand Air Canada's far-reaching and diversified global network with improved connectivity between our hubs and cities across Mexico," said Mark Galardo, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, and president of Cargo at Air Canada.

"Since 1954, Mexico has been an important part of our global network, and this summer, Air Canada's added capacity will further reinforce the long-standing tourism and commercial ties between our two countries."

Before heading to Mexico, make sure to stay informed on local laws on banned items such as electronic cigarettes or vaping devices.
