Theatre Picks Dec 20-26

Happy holidays to everyone. Okay. Well most of the theatres have had their shows run smoothly so far this year. In the coming new year there will be several openings that will be very exciting like Factory Theatre's Singkil or CanStage's remount of the award winning Half Life.

This weekend is slim pickings and I'm sure you know why. No one is crazy enough to challenge the Christmas spirit. But there are a couple of Christmas shows you should go out and see if you're not at Rocky Balboa on Christmas Day.

Cinderella In muddy York . Cinderella comes up North to Canada. Nice adaptation and full of family fun. Runs to Jan 1 at the Tarragon Theatre Extra Space and brought to you by Puppetmongers

A Christmas Carol presented by Soulpepper. It's that time of year and these guys always know how to put on a good show. Young Centre for the Performing Arts

Clowning Around by the popular group Lampoon Puppettheatre. Two clowns. Fun tricks. Need I really say more? Runs to Dec 30, Wed-Sat 2 pm. Palmerston Library
