Theatre Pics: September 27- October 5

There are some great shows out there for a variety of audiences and many more on their way. Here are three you should see:

Swiss Family Guy Robinson / Let it Shame - This two pack at the Diesel Playhouse is a steal for $20.00. Brian Froud's one man show based on the popular show Family Guy pleases even the 'hardest core' of fans. What's great is that the script (co-written by the Shehori Bros.) brings its own unique brand of comedy and wit to the show. Piggy backing Family Guy is Let it Shame, a sketch comedy extravaganza staring Dale Boyer, Trevor Martin, Marco Timpano, Amanda Barker. If you like your comedy well outside the box and pushing the boundaries of all forms of taste, you have to see this one! Swiss Family Guy Robinson runs Tues- Sun 8:00 $15.00. Let it Shame runs Thursday- Saturday at 9:30 for $10.00. Best bet is both shows for $20.00

Here Lies Henry by Daniel MacIvor and Daniel Brooks. The story of a liar that finally tells everyone the truth. MacIvor's wit and charm are both very present in this one man powerhouse. Tue-Sat 8 pm, Sun 2:30 pm (and Oct 8 and 15 at 7 pm). Buddies in bad Times Theatre

Nuit Blanche This all-night event features varoius theatrical productions amongst the various arts displays, including staged readings and short plays by Alumnae Theatre, Melissa Major, Ulysses Castellanos and more. Sep 30, 7 pm-7 am. Free. Various venues.
