Toronto Raptors reveal new Kyle Lowry-inspired logo

It's going to be a special night and the Toronto Raptors have unveiled a special logo. 

Kyle Lowry officially retired from the NBA last month, inking a one-year deal to retire as a Raptor. That, however, seems to be just the start of the festivities for the greatest Raptor of all-time. 

In a social media post on Tuesday, the Raptors teased a new Lowry-inspired logo.

"A legacy too big for one night," the Raptors captioned the brief video.

The logo features Toronto's classic Raptor logo donning a black No. 7  jersey while pointing to direct a play. The logo came into view after the video initially started with a picture of Lowry.

It's a similar logo to the one that the team wore on their 2024-25 City Edition jerseys, which honoured Vince Carter's iconic dunk at the 2000 Slam Dunk contest. The Raptors also retired Carter's No. 15 jersey that same season.

Many are assuming that the logo will be used for Lowry's jersey retirement, which has yet to be formally announced. Lowry would join Carter as the only two players in franchise history to receive the honour. 

Lowry spent nine seasons with the Raptors between 2012 and 2021, during which he helped Toronto capture its first-ever NBA Championship in 2019. He currently ranks second in franchise history in both games played (601) and points (10,540).
