Toronto Busker Fest 2016

BuskerFest is back without a major corporate sponsor

Guess who's back again? Toronto BuskerFest. The festival, which supports Epilepsy Toronto, will return to the city even without a major corporate sponsor.

Back in October 2015, Scotiabank announced it'd no longer be funding BuskerFest (as well as Nuit Blanche, Caribana and the CHIN Picnic).

BuskerFest, however, will look a little different this year. Instead of taking over parts of Yonge Street, the 17th annual event will go down at Woodbine Park, a rather unconventional choice for a festival dedicated to showcasing the world's best street performers.

Along with featuring a slew of artists, acrobats and daredevils, this new venue will include a beer garden. You can see it all for yourself over the Labour Day long weekend, from September 2 to 5.
