Oodles Wok is an Indo-Chinese takeout chain from the United Kingdom, and you can find it right here in Toronto.

Originally founded in 2010, Oodles Wok opened its first restaurant in Leicester before expanding across the country. In 2024, the franchise spread beyond the U.K., opening its first overseas location in Dubai.

In 2025, the franchise set its sights on Canada, opening its first location in Toronto. Helmed by North American franchise manager Asif Adam, this restaurant is tucked away in a small plaza off Lebovic Avenue.

The restaurant consists of a two-tiered dining room, decorated with colourful block patterns and fanciful depictions of food.

From above, you can get a clear view of the restaurant's open concept kitchen. Here, noodles, wings and rice dishes are prepared with machine-like precision, ensuring that each dish is just as delicious as the last.Though the restaurant has only been open since June, Oodles Wok has already attracted a sizable following. During the lunch hour, the bottom floor is packed with both customers and couriers, making it difficult to reach the upper level.Oodles Wok specializes in fresh, flavourful takeout dishes, inspired by Asian cuisine. In particular, their menu takes inspiration from Indian and Hakka dishes, which feature bold flavours and strong spice blends.

Oodles Wok is also notable for its wide selection of boxes, ranging in size from tiny to titanic. Whether you're in the market for a quick snack or searching for a satisfying meal, you'll probably be able to find it here.The "Create Your Own Box" combo ($13.99) is exactly what it sounds like: an incredibly versatile meal deal that can be customized to suit your personal tastes.

Each box consists of four main components: two base dishes, one saucy dish and one dry dish. Base dishes include items such as french fries, rice and noodles, while the other two categories include protein-heavy foods, like chicken, beef and shrimp.

Our first box consisted of udon noodles, spicy fries, salt and pepper chicken, and chili chicken.

My favourite part of this box was the spicy fries, which are seasoned with spicy Schezuan sauce and topped with fresh onions and capsicum. Box number two featured egg-fried rice, udon noodles, Manchurian chicken and Oodles crispy chicken.

Here, the crispy chicken took center stage. Though slightly milder than the Manchurian chicken, which is seasoned with ginger, garlic and soy sauce, the crispy chicken's savoury marinade and crunchy sesame seeds help to make the dish stand out.Wok Wings ($6.99) are Oodles Wok's take on chicken wings. In addition to the traditional wing flavours, such as salt and pepper and smoked barbecue, the restaurant offers Asian-inspired flavours, such as teriyaki.

These wings are topped with soy sauce, sesame seeds and mixed vegetables, giving them a salty-sweet flavour and a sticky smooth finish.Torpedo Shrimp ($6.99) come in sets of five, served with a side of sweet chili dip. Though not as colourful as some of the other dishes on offer, their crunchy coating and tender centres more than make up for their unassuming appearance.With a solid menu and plans to expand into other neighbourhoods, Oodles Wok is a promising addition to Toronto's thriving food scene.Oodles Wok is located at 41 Lebovic Avenue.
