This $5 million Toronto home is steps away from Drake's favourite neighbourhood

On average, a house in North York's Bridle Path, also known as Drake's hood, typically goes for close to $7 million. 

That being said, most houses in the area typically go for a much higher price. One of these, 30 High Point Rd. (which we've written about before), is currently being listed for $28 million. 

There are also houses below that average – although not many. The cheapest house on the market right now is a four-bedroom bungalow that's has been in the same family since 1969 and is listed at just over $4 million.

And 33 Suncrest Dr. is another one of those rare exceptions, currently listed for $5,150,000.

It was previously listed for $5,380,000, but failed to sell after more than 50 days on the market.

Now, if money is no object and you're just buying the property because you want to build your dream home in The Bridle Path, then this might be considered a steal. 

The home has three fireplaces. 

The land is a sizeable 101-by-121.95 feet that backs onto Sunnybrook Park and is only a four-minute drive to your bestie Drake's house.

But while location is important, the Bridle Path isn't really the be-all, end-all, and comparable (or better) homes have recently sold for less.

Also, not that this needs to be said, but the house you're getting for that $5 million is pretty average.

It's a four-bedroom, four-bathroom brick bungalow with 4,364 square feet of living space.

It does have a heated pool in the backyard, along with a pond and waterfall, which is nice.

But the home hasn't been updated in a while, which is evident by the wood panelling, abundance of wallpaper, and the overall aesthetic of the bathrooms.

And while most $5 million homes come with top-of-the-line amentities, this one just comes with "appliances" like a "newer fridge," a rented hot water tank and A/C, and a "newer metal" roof.

Really what we're saying is The Bridle Path is overhyped and you could definitely do better if you can afford a $5 million house (not to mention the $17,000 per year in property taxes).
