Airbnb of the week: Toronto pottery studio turned into a laneway loft
I've always been curious about laneway houses. They seem like an awesome option to remedy the current housing crisis. And yet, I wonder if it really would feel like sleeping in a glorified garage or shed. Well, if you're curious like I am, for $72 a night you can found out if the laneway home thing is really all it's cracked up to be.
This former stained glass and pottery studio has been converted into an adorable little loft.
Everything is all in one room but there's a full kitchen, queen-size bed and enough space for even a little dining nook.
The one major downside to this, at least in my opinion, is the open washroom. There is a privacy curtain, but considering the fact that everything is all in one room, I'm not sure if I'm okay with just a curtain.
But apart from that the place is bright, airy and cozy.
And while we're only a week away from the first snowfall, in the summer there's a cute garden filled with herbs and tomoatoes that you're free to enjoy.
Trying out alternative housing.
You're not sure about the open washroom thing... Privacy curtain or not — sound travels.
