MUSIC | Mumford & Sons at Molson Amphitheatre
Mumford & Sons, definitely one of the most popular live acts going right now, make a stop at Molson Amphitheatre tonight. This English band has helped turned mainstream consciousness back towards the beauty of folk rock and acoustic instruments, but with a modern edge and energy. Formed in 2007, their success has been a slow but steady. Their second album, last year's Babel, was a huge success, and this Markus Dravs-produced record won both the Grammy Award and the Brit Award for "Album Of The Year." They are still touring on this record, and are a music festival favourite, known to deliver the goods live.
Molson Amphitheatre (909 Lake Shore West) 7PM $50-$72.75

MARKETPLACE | Gifts Of My Hands Summer Markets
The Gifts Of My Hands marketplace has been an ongoing event throughout the Summer (since May, actually) on the last Monday of every month at the Sorauren Park Fieldhouse. This marketplace focuses on handmade products, and local artists, jewelers, woodworkers, potters, and makers of natural health and beauty products will be open for business today. This afternoon and evening marks the final gathering of this marketplace, so do consider checking it out if you haven't yet gotten a chance to make it there.
Sorauren Park Fieldhouse (50 Wabash Avenue) 3-7PM

BOOKS & LIT | Kathy Reichs
Well known American crime novelist, forensic anthropologist, and television producer, Kathy Reichs will be at Indigo Books at the Manulife Centre to sign copies of her new novel, Bones of the Lost. This is the latest in the Temperance Brennan series, which follows a female forensic anthropologist, modeled after the author, on her daily investigations and adventures. This series inspired the Fox television series Bones, for which Reichs has acted as producer. Reichs has written almost 20 novels, and her first, DĂŠjĂ Dead, won the Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Novel in 1997.
Indigo Manulife Centre (55 Bloor Street West) 7PM

FUNDRAISER | Artspiration Art Auction Fundraiser
Artspiration, a special fundraising event, takes place this evening at The Moniker Gallery. This event will bring together the work of both well-known local artists, and some emerging talent, contributing work towards an auction to raise funds for Walk With Me Canada, an organization devoted to supporting individuals who are survivors of sex trafficking. Walk With Me is also established to raise awareness of the prevalence sex trafficking in North America, a crime often associated with other parts of the world. Artists whose work will be up for auction include: Guy Maddin, Paul Butler, Jay Isaac, Sanjay Patel, and others.
The Moniker Gallery (452 Richmond Street West) 6-10PM
