Radar: Tiny Miracles, Shoeless Monday, Dinner and a Movie at The Detroit Eatery, Clinton's Quiz Night, Beaver Xmas Party

COMEDY | 6th Annual TINY MIRACLES
The 6th Annual Tiny Miracles Xmas fundraiser goes down tonight at The Comedy Bar! This is a comedy event with a concept: billed as an "old-timey radio show," there will be lots of laughs to make this a feel-good occasion for all. Our hosts for this evening are Pat Thornton & Sara Hennessey, with featured guest comics including: Mark Forward, Sal & Sandy, Fraser Young, Sarah Hillier, Kathleen Phillips, & Roger Bainbridge. We are promised music by Boyfriends & Girlfriends, and craziness like a reading from both "The Classic Christmas Tale," and "A Cookie Monster Christmas"! Funds raised at this event will go towards the homeless.

MUSIC | Shoeless Monday at The Horseshoe
Shoeless Monday is the Horseshoe's no cover indie-rock night. Mondays can be a tough one: people are burnt from the weekend, not a lot is happening - some old story. It is therefore great to know that there's a place to check out up and coming bands right at Spadina and Queen. Tonight's musical fare includes Space Monster, Adelleda, and The Mooreland Band Project. Come out and enjoy some honest rock'n'roll!

GAMES | Clinton's Quiz Night
Clinton's Quiz Night was launched about a year ago, and has been getting some good feedback. Everyone loves a bit of trivia, and it goes surprisingly well with drinks! The right trivia tidbit can go a long way, too. After all, we are headed into that season where you will be going to back-to-back social events, and those awkward moments always creep up, when the conversation just dies. When you pull out a tasty trivia question that stumped you at tonight's Clinton's Quiz Night, you will keep that conversation flowing! Plus there are always prizes to be won!

FILM | Do What You Can Presents: Dinner, A Movie and a Show at the Detroit Eatery
Local up and coming film maker, Jeremy Gravelle hosts a special screening of his film "Shot In The Dark" tonight. The event is being held at the Detroit Eatery, a Danforth joint reputed to have some tasty burgs. This screening will also take place tomorrow night, as well, and this type of event is a big deal for a young independent film maker like Gravelle. There really isn't a support network (ie. venues, events, etc) in place outside of academic institutions for people doing this type of thing that are in that special place between being a film student, and having work included in the most minor of film fests. Or maybe that's what YouTube coupled with social networking is for? Gravelle is clearly creating his own opportunities here, so props to him for that. Curious cinephiles should check this out, and some live music is promised as well.
