MUSIC | Polaris Music Prize Record Salon #1: The Dears
If you've got to make it up to your loved one after a scuffed up Valentine's Day, you're sure to get brownie points galore at this event. Each month, music lovers and musicians will get together at the Polaris Music Prize salon to tune into and discuss the biggest rising stars in Canadian music. All artists featured are currently under consideration for the 2011 prize. This month, The Dears are taking centre stage, complete with performance and live interview. How many times can you say amazing?
The Drake Hotel (1150 Queen Street West), 7pm Free

COMEDY | Spare Hearts Improv
Light-hearted laughter seems to be the recipe du jour for the day after Valentine's, and the Spare Hearts Improve show might just be the best selection on the menu. The fantastic Sondra Piea will be hosting and performing alongside many improv gurus such as Anwar Ali, Geoff MacDonald and William Nishri.
Free Times CafĂŠ (320 College Street), 8:30pm $6

THEATRE | Floating
Saturate your night with a little geography with the production, Floating. It is "the simple story of the Welsh island of Anglesey" and how it suddenly comes apart from the bridge that connects it with the United Kingdom. The stage is filled with objects to arouse the senses, and the show is guaranteed to capture and hang tight on your attention. Come learn about the great Anglesey!
Enwave Theatre (231 Queen Quay West), 8pm $18 student, $35 adult

COMEDY | Comedy Records Presents: Comedy at Czehoski
You might be feeling a little post-Valentine's Day blues or still feeling the aftereffects of a sub-par Hallmark holiday; either way a good laugh is good for the heart. Comedy Records presents their first-ever of a monthly stand-up showcase for your funny bone's pleasure tonight at the lovely and intimate Czehoski on Queen. It will be so fun you'll put it in your calendar with permanent marker for next month.
Czehoski (678 Queen Street West), 9pm PWYC
