MUSIC | Iguana Recording Presents: The Breaking Lakes, Jamie Flagg Band and more
Iguana Recording has been a mainstay in the Toronto music industry, making waves, making good impressions and working with such Canadian superstars like Nelly Furtado and Billy Talent to name just a couple. Tonight they bring an indie-rock showcase for the books: The Breaking Lakes, Jamie Flagg Band, The Machams and Jsin. All of these artists are ones to watch and if anything this showcase is a great excuse for a party. Only five bucks and it's all yours!
The Drake Underground (1150 Queen Street West), 9pm $5

THEATRE | Odyssey
The critically acclaimed Odyssey has made the grand trek across the pond for its Canadian debut. The show is only running until the 30th of this month, and is thus likely to be a hot item. And who wouldn't? George Mann and Nir Paldi's staging is as mesmerizing as it is thought-provoking.
The Tarragon Theatre: Extra Space (30 Bridgeman Avenue), 8pm $20

COMEDY | Awkward: A Show of Epic Fails
Producer Erin Rodgers presents Awkward: A Show of Epic Fails tonight at the Comedy Bar. It's a proven fact (and if it isn't, it should be) that everyone with a heartbeat loves seeing falls, bails and fails and we laugh at these even when it may be not appropriate. Set your laughter free tonight at this event, where stories, sketch and songs depict takes of 'epic fail' and the inevitable humiliation that follows.
Comedy Bar (945 Bloor Street West), 8pm $8

PARTY | McClung's Magazine Winter 2011 Launch Party
McClung's Magazine has come a long way since its first days, an impressive 19 years ago. It is a feminist mag, run and written by Ryerson students that highlights all the wonderful and weird in pop culture, politics, world news and more. They produce two issues per year, and tonight is a celebration of their latest, Winter 2011. Expect a night full of inspired cocktails, giveaways, and sweet tunes all in support of this provocative publication.
Calisto (647 College Street), 9pm $5

COMEDY | The Boom Show Chapter 32
They might not be the finest but they sure as heck are the funniest sketch troupe these days. The Boom Show has garnered all sorts of buzz for their hilarious acts and high-energy performances. Tonight marks the first show of 2011 and if you haven't yet been tickled pink by Boom Show, we highly recommend this jumps to #1 on your priority list. Tonight will feature Nick Flanagan, Dom Pare, the sensational Doctor Ew and many more.
The Supermarket (268 Augusta Avenue), 9pm $10
