The Drake's What's in the Box week-long music fest of the best comes to a close tonight with the Galapagos showcase. Featuring some stellar hand-picked "techno meets dubsteb-club flair," the line-up is sure to sparkle your soles and souls on the dance floor. The bill includes Scuba, recently named Resident Advisor's #25 DJ in the world, Canadian house wizard Egyptrixx, local superstar Mymanhenri and Nik T from Circle Research.

Tonight wraps up the final showcase for The Garrison's Annual Boxing Week Special, a special medley of super fun live bands for only ten big ones this evening. Begin your New Years celebrations with Modern Superstitions, Pants & Tie, Hot Kid and more.

Don't be discouraged if your New Years resolution to expand your mind more has remained dormant; you still have one more night to open up your cerebral pathways with The Incongruous Quarterly Issue #2 Launch Party tonight at Double Double Land. The Incongruous Quarterly publishes the unpublishable, with a unique theme for each issue, decided upon by two guest editors. The evening will include readings from issue contributors, special surprises and the possibility of drunk Scrabble (their words not mine, either way it's awesome).
