Another edition of Elvis Mondays, Toronto's longest running indie-rock showcase, is upon us this evening. Tonight, a host of rockin' goodness, including favorites Teen Tits Wild Wives, who will be launching their latest EP on...cassette! Party like it's 1989!

LITERATURE | Star Talks: Mordechai's Version
Various clips from Richard J. Lewis' film version of Mordechai Richler's 1997 novel "Barney's Version" will form the basis of this evening's discussion on the author's life and work. Journalist/author Jacob Richler, biographer Charles Foran, and the film's screenwriter, Michael Konyves, make up what will be a fascinating panel, with a "Q&A" to follow. This is a must attend for fans of Canadian literature and culture alike.

FILM | Beyond The border: The European Dimension Of Film
Tonight, as part of the ongoing "Beyond The Border" series, the Goethe-Institut presents the multi award-winning Turkish film "Takva," a story of a devout Muslim's exposure to power and the material world, and the effect this has on him. There will be a discussion with the film's producer, Falk Nagel, as well as Jan Schutte, founder of the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris.

MUSIC | The Frandiscos
Monday night can be funky - especially thanks to The Mansion Inc's "Monday Meetings!" Tonight finds a slick triple-bill at The Social. Dynamic DJ duo The Frandiscos, will be joined by Deakzauce, with a supporting set by Forest Fires.

FOOD | Eat To Give - A Dinner To Benefit Youth Skills Zone
This season is about giving, and what better way to do so, than by indulging in the great culinary creations of five of the city's top restos in one fabulous sitting? The great chefs behind Origin, Le Select Bistro, Noche, Swan, and the hosting venue, Torito will be contributing to tonight's menu, with all proceeds going to Youth Skills Zone. This is what they call a "win-win."
