Radar: The Hoa Hoas w/ Bad Cop, Harold & Maude II: Killer Beas, Hudson Mohawke, Positive Thinking, Bitch Craft

MUSIC | The Hoa Hoas w/ Bad Cop
Anyone music fan in their right mind is upset right now that he's missing POP Montreal, but you can take a little solace in this show. Toronto's own and probably only psych-garage-pop band, The Hoa Hoas are playing at The Silver Dollar with Nashvilles' Bad Cop, fresh from their POP Montreal shows. They'll also be joined by Sandman Viper Command and Actual Water, just so you can get your money's worth.
The Silver Dollar, 486 Spadina Ave, $7, 9pm

COMEDY | Harold & Maude II: Killer Beas
If you're expecting an actual sequel to Harold and Maude, get ready to be disappointed. If you're expecting a night full of stand up and awesome longform improv, you'll be excited and should be proud for guessing that. Bea Arthur (not the woman, the female improv troupe... this post is just full of disappointments) will be featuring a new longform improv format, plus stand up by all of the ladies.
Comedy Bar, 945 Bloor St W, $8, 10:30pm

MUSIC | Hudson Mohawke
Hudson Mohawke is the best of both worlds when it comes to electronic music. He has an amazing selection of vocalists including D.C. soul singer Oliver Daysoul (how perfect is that name?) plus crazy drum and bass beats. Together it creates something similar to 90's UK dance music and early hip hop. He'll be at The Mod Club tonight as part of Arcade Fridays.
The Mod Club, 722 College St, $15, 10pm

PARTY | Positive Thinking
If you want to survive all of Nuit Blanche, you usually have to avoid the heavy drinking/club scene, so you might as well get it all out tonight. Nocturne Nightclub is attempting to combine art and house/dub with it's Positive Thinking tonight. It'll consist of two fully decorated rooms plus the music of acts like Kowall, DBoom and Ainsworth.
Nocturne Nightclub, 550 Queen St W, $5, 10pm

PARTY | Bitch Craft
You don't get a lot of hip-hop at The Shop, except for nights like tonight with the return of Bitch Craft, Parts & Labours' hip-hop dance party. DJ Blonde & Redhead (not the band, I'm guessing just two girls -- one blonde, one a redhead) will be playing the best of old school, new school and everything in between.
Parts and Labour, 1566 Queen St W, $5, 10pm
