Yes In My Back Yard Festival 2014

On Saturday, September 27, the Centre for City Ecology will host the seventh annual YIMBY (Yes In My Back Yard) Festival at University of Toronto Schools (UTS).

This year's YIMBY festival will welcome 50+ Toronto-based groups involved in community development, civic literacy, neighbourhood improvement, environmental action, culture and creativity, and collaborative consumption to fill the halls of UTS. Residents and politicians will engage in face-to-face conversations with organizations that are championing positive change in the city. Throughout the day, panel discussions and flash presentations will allow participating groups to share their current work, ongoing strategies, and new ideas for the future of Toronto's neighbourhoods.

YIMBY celebrates a culture of "yes" by connecting residents and politicians with the wealth of good ideas and good work coming out of Toronto's community groups and businesses. It's about enhancing civic literacy and engagement and moving the city forward.

YIMBY is free and open to all. Visit yimbytoronto.org for information about YIMBY Tablers, Panel Discussions, and Presentations. And follow us on Twitter @yimbytoronto - let's start the conversation!
