Yarnbombing Bloorcourt: DIY Crochet Meets Street Art
Join artist and writer Shari Kasman for a hands-on crochet workshop where we combine craft with public art.
In this afternoon session on Sunday, July 27, we’ll learn basic crochet techniques (beginners welcome!) and create pieces designed to be installed in Bloorcourt as part of a neighbourhood yarnbombing project.
Already know how to crochet and just want to join in? Great! Prefer to knit? That works too—knitters are welcome, though instruction will focus on crochet this time around. In the final hour of the session, we’ll head out to install our pieces in the neighbourhood, so you can watch your work transform the city.
🧶 Event includes:
-Crochet instruction
-All materials (including yarn + crochet hook)
-Community vibes
-Neighbourhood installation
-Small group
