World Pulmonary Hypertension Day

May 5th is World Pulmonary Hypertension Day: a global day of awareness for this illness.

In 2015, we want to build on this ‘Paint Canada Purple’ campaign. Lighting our Canadian monuments in purple in honour of World PH Day will raise awareness of this disease. Most of us have never heard of the disease until it affects us or someone we know. Unfortunately, this low public awareness means that pulmonary hypertension is often diagnosed at a very late stage. It’s extremely important to raise awareness of pulmonary hypertension and in doing so, promote earlier diagnosis.

We are excited to announce that on May 5, 2015 the CN Tower will light up purple for World Pulmonary Hypertension Day! ‪#‎WorldPHDay‬

There will be many other monuments illuminated across Canada this year. For full listing check out www.phacanada.ca.
