Front Light/Back Light is a useful VFX technique used to create a moving matte. With this matte, you can composite your animation or elements onto artwork or video. It works similar to green screen but without the problems of spill around the edges and your character/element can have green in it. This class will demo two Front Light/Back Light set ups- a down shooter tabletop setup and a stage setup with a character. We will also go through the process of importing the footage into After Effects. This is a great technique for shooting in small spaces and also for creating complex collages.
