"This body of work is an exploration of the anticipation of a moment, and theslow slipping of time in the everyday. Ephemeral pockets of time are slowed down through the process of painting - the deconstruction and translation of a fleeting moment into something timeless through mark making. The back alley,the corner store and the diner are all reoccurring subjects in this body of work. Layers of history in these overlooked spaces and fleeting moments are brought into lasting focus, before time slips and these spaces change or disappear altogether."
