Workshop Description

Franklin Law’s “What every Employee needs to know about the Human Rights Code and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario” is one of the foundational courses in Franklin Law’s Employees First series of courses and workshops.

Participants will learn about the history and public policy underlying the Human Rights Code, will learn about the prohibited grounds and social areas covered by the Human Rights Code, will explore concepts of discrimination, harassment, reprisal, and accommodation through case studies, will explore personal and public interest remedies under the Human Rights Code, and will gain insights into what employees can expect at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Participants will do so with a particular emphasis on the employee-employer relationship.
