Walk for Homeless Youth
In Toronto, there are at least 10,000 young people who are homeless throughout the year and as many as 2,000 on a given night. Join us on Sunday April 26 and support the 2015 Eva’s Initiatives Walk for Homeless Youth.
ABOUT EVA’S INITIATIVES
• Provide safe shelter, training, counselling, and a wide range of innovative programs and services to help homeless and at-risk youth reach their potential to lead productive, self-sufficient and healthy lives
• Operate three unique shelters that accommodate 114 youth aged 16-24 each night and works to build innovative and long term solutions to end youth homelessness.
WHEN: Sunday, April 26, 2015, registration starts at 2:00 pm
WHERE: Walk begins at Eva’s Satellite (25 Canterbury Pl) and route extends 6 km to Eva’s Place (360 Lesmill Rd). A BBQ and celebrations with Eva’s Youth will follow
WHAT: Approximately 100 people from various Toronto communities will walk the streets of Toronto to raise funds and awareness in support Eva’s work to end youth homelessness
