Venus Fest 10th Anniversary Celebration
Venus Fest is turning 10 — and it’s celebrating with a six-day takeover of Allan Gardens packed with live music, art, late-night performances, workshops, artist talks, a night market and more.
Running September 15–20, the anniversary edition brings together an eclectic lineup of boundary-pushing artists including Juliana Huxtable, LAL, HONEYDRIP, PYNE, Prado Monroe, Donna Come Home, Esssena, Renelyn Quinicot-Bastos and seth cardinal dodginghorse.
The festival builds throughout the week before kicking into high gear on Friday, September 18, with performances from PYNE, LAL and Prado Monroe, All-Flowers Mahjong and a Night Market presented by Kabuté and Friends of Allan Gardens.
Saturday brings a full day and night of programming, starting with a free Rest Portal featuring a sound bath with Renelyn Quinicot-Bastos and an artist talk with Juliana Huxtable. After dark, Donna Come Home and HONEYDRIP take the stage before Juliana Huxtable headlines Saturday night, accompanied by live visuals from new media artist Tara Rose Morris. The night market also returns for round two.
Across the six days, expect visual art curated by Tangled Arts + Disability, an interactive installation by Christina Dovolis, workshops, talks and plenty of unexpected ways to experience Allan Gardens.
Venus Fest has spent the past decade carving out space for artists who push against the status quo. For its 10th anniversary, it’s bringing everything it has become — music, art, experimentation and community — together for one big celebration in the heart of Toronto.
Come celebrate 10 years of Venus Fest and be part of what comes next.
