Equal parts prophetic and memetic, the work of L.A. based independent filmmaker Eugene Kotlyarenko tends to be characterized as multimedia experiments disguised as genre films, but we want to encourage audiences to look at them as the exact opposite. While it is tempting to watch a livestream or desktop film on your laptop at home, eerily playing into the illusion of its reality, his work has everything it takes to move an auditorium of people in a classical way and so, why shouldn’t it?

The event will two days, two double bills. Eugene Kotlyarenko will be joining us for an IN-PERSON Q&A on both nights, after each screening. Special guests included!

NIGHT 1 (NOV. 26th):

Spree (7:00pm): Kurt Kunkle, a rideshare driver thirsty for followers, has figured out a deadly plan to go viral. As his disturbing livestream is absurdly embraced by the social media hellscape, a comedienne emerges as the only hope to stop this rampage.
