Urban Sketching: Exhibition Place

Join Julie Ourceau to learn more about the history of Exhibition Place and the range of architectural styles featured on site, while developing your observational and urban sketching skills. Each workshop session will focus on a different architectural style, featuring a specific building and its surroundings.

These workshops are open to all abilities, and skill levels. Sketchers can choose their individual drawing media (pencil, charcoal, markers, watercolour, etc.). Basic supplies will be provided (will be providing sketchbooks, pencils and pens), participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies. Suggested sketching materials include: a sketchpad, graphite pencil (HB or RB), pencil sharpener, ruler or set square, stool or other portable seating, and a camera or phone (for reference images).

Each workshop is approximately two hours long and participants are asked to meet at the entrance to Heritage Court, (19 Nunavut Rd.).

Proceeds from these workshops will be donated to CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health).
