From theatre to film, television to music, Toronto is home to some of the country’s most important performance halls, many of them housed in uniquely shaped venues specifically designed to support and enhance the performances unfolding within.

Come join us on a walk through the city’s Entertainment District as we visit some of these unique buildings, talk about their design, and share the distinctive features that allow them to host concerts, plays, musicals and so much more. Included in this tour are timeless theatres like the Royal Alexandra Theatre and innovative concert halls like Roy Thomson Hall, as well as a stop at the home of Toronto’s famed international film festival and our city’s largest event venue: Skydome. Along the way we’ll speak to the history of this ever-changing neighbourhood, both uncovering some of the items that speak about its past as well as the high-rise buildings that are helping to define its future.
