Toronto Silent Film Festival: Moulin Rouge

Time Travel back to the 1920s for your front row seat at the infamous Moulin Rouge.

This lavish 1928 production by German expressionist director EA Dupont resurrects the blazing glamour and dark underside of the world's most decadent cabaret. He even hired the entire cast of the Paris to New York Stage show for authentic performances.

Everyone worships at the feet of Diva Parisya including her daughter's faithless fiance. The corrupt love triangle comes crashing down with devastating consequences.

Live musical accompaniment by William O'Meara
