Toronto Island Photo Walk and Dusk Skyline Adventure

In this 3+ hour event, we will photograph various features of the Toronto island (fauna, attractions, and still life subjects) followed by an exercise in long exposure photography of the famous Toronto city skyline through the twilight period.

This photography adventure is for anyone who owns an interchangeable lens DSLR or mirrorless camera and a full size tripod. You will learn how to adjust manual settings to accommodate for the changing light and capture a handful of majestic print worthy photographs of the skyline as the sun sets.

NO MANUAL MODE EXPERIENCE NEEDED! You will receive detailed guidance throughout the evening to learn how to control your settings on your camera.

You will need:

- Interchangeable lens DSLR or mirrorless camera

- Lens with focal lengths ranging from 24-70 mm, approx. Wide lenses recommended for the skyline shots, higher focal length for 'walkabout' photography on the island

- Full size tripod

- Clothing suitable for the evening time on the island, which can be chilly

- Optional mosquito spray (may not be needed, but just in case)

- Water bottle, energy bar or similar snack

All details including when and where to meet on the island will be provided by email to all registered attendees. Departure from the Jack Layton ferry terminal is approximately 5:20pm, meeting on the island after the ferry crosses (15-20 mins)

Rain date will be May 20 if rain is forecast for the event date of May 19 in the evening. Paid attendees will be informed earlier in the day if the trip is postponed due to weather.

Cost to attend: $129 per attendee, payable on www.cameraschool.ca
