Torontonians at Ashbridges Bay may be surprised at what they see—and hear—on Lake Ontario Saturday June 13. Hydroplanes, which were once a frequent sight in this part of the city, are returning for a rare appearance to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Toronto Hydroplane & Sailing Club (TH&SC).

These impressive race vessels are designed to "levitate" above the water on a cushion of air at astounding speeds. The public and media are invited to witness these historic machines up close and see them take to the water for a special anniversary tribute.
