WHAT: Toronto After Dark Film Festival is one of the world’s leading showcases of New Horror, Thriller and Sci-Fi Movies, enjoyed by over 5,000 attendees each year including film lovers, press, industry and filmmakers.

WHY: A thrilling cinematic blast for movie fans and filmmakers, Toronto After Dark has been Voted Runner-Up for Best Film Festival in the City by audiences (BlogTO) and One of the Top Genre Film Festivals in the World by filmmakers (MovieMaker).

Each year around 1,000 filmmakers from around the world submit films in competition for a coveted screening slot at our October film showcase, packed full of thousands of delighted audience members, seeking new cinematic thrills and chills! WHEN & WHERE: Toronto After Dark’s 18th Annual Edition runs over 5 Thrilling nights, Wednesday-Sunday, October 15-19, 2025. The festival will screen around 40 amazing new films, both features and shorts, at the Scotiabank Theatre located at 259 Richmond Street West, the largest cinema in the heart of Toronto’s downtown Entertainment District.
