The Reception welcomes The Templeton Philharmonic and Clara Venice to their monthly Comedy Bar Extravaganza!

The Templeton Philharmonic are an award-winning, sketch comedy duo comprised of Toronto writers and performers Gwynne Phillips and Briana Templeton. Together, they perform delectably surreal sketch comedy that is often peppered with hideous Edwardian dresses, stinging social commentary, and dead-pan interpretive dance. They have appeared at the New York, Chicago, and Toronto Sketch Comedy Festivals, and took home the award for Best Comedy Duo at the L.A. Comedy Festival.

Clara Venice is a one-girl multi-instrument band, whose live performance is a high-wire act that must be seen and heard to be believed. In her live show, Clara sings and plays an array of instruments including theremin, electric violin, electric guitar, ukulele and glockenspiel. Claras performances have an arresting visual style involving a multitude of costume, hair and makeup transformations from 21st century burlesque to Tokyo street style.
