Dewi Lewis, publisher, will look at what is involved in the process of publishing a photography book, from concept through to finished product. Maarten Schilt, publisher, will expand on the business of publishing and current trends in the market. Followed by a Q&A; lead by Hannamari Shakya, editor of Raw View Magazine.

Dewi Lewis Publishing is a partnership owned and run by Caroline Warhurst and Dewi Lewis. Founded in 1994, its photography list has an international reputation and includes books by leading British and international photographers such as William Klein, Martin Parr, Simon Norfolk, Fay Godwin, Tom Wood, Sergio Larrain, Frank Horvat, John Blakemore, Paolo Pelegrin and Bruce Gilden. The aim of the company is to bring to the attention of a wider public, accessible but challenging contemporary photography by both established and lesser known practitioners. Dewi Lewis Publishing also works in close collaboration with a number of European publishers and is a founding member of The European Publishers Award for Photography, which is now beginning its 22nd year. In 2014 Dewi Lewis Publishing received the PHotoEspanas prize for Outstanding Publishing House of the Year.

Schilt Publishing and Schilt Publishing Gallery respectively a publishing house specialized in high quality photography books, and a commercial gallery representing a wide range of top class artists from all over the world. The aim of both companies is to offer a worldwide platform for its artists as well as being a family of artists in the old-fashioned way. They do not only publish books and market those through our offices in the U.S.A., the U.K. and The Netherlands, but also actively working together with artists to help them with their careers. Schilt Publishing Gallery organizes, approximatley four solo exhibitions a year of of represented artists. Schilt Publishing is the leading publisher of World Press Photo Foundation in Amsterdam as well as FotoFest in Houston, Texas.

Raw View is a non profit magazine made by an exceptional group of professionals, writers, journalists, photo editors, graphic designers and translators working on a volunteer basis. In addition to the editorial staff, the magazine is aided by a team of ten international professionals. The makers of Raw View are connected by a passion for photography and photographers. They want to create a community, and a place for photographers to publish their visionary documentary photo series with an artistic approach.
