The MUFF Society presents CLUELESS
DOORS OPEN 9PM - MOVIE STARTS AT 9:30PM
As If. Way Harsh. Ensembly challenged. Thanks to Clueless these are phrases we’ve all embraced and used on the regular. And if you don’t, well, then you’re just a full-on Monet. Ugh. At some point or another, we’ve all wished for a closet like Cher’s, or a love like Dionne and Murray’s, or someone to “rollin’ with the homies” with at a party. With Clueless, writer/director Amy Heckerling took the teen-movie genre and turned it completely on its head by creating a film that was funny, clever and sexy—with a few life lessons tossed in for good measure (like when a boy comes over you should totally have something baking). Also, Paul Rudd. 2015 marks the 20th anniversary of this iconic film so grab a mini dress (one Calvin Klein would approve of) and join us in getting a head-start on the celebration at the second monthly MUFF Society screening.
The Monthly Underground Female Film Society (or MUFF Society for short) is a film series + community that aims to celebrate and champion all facets of women in film. More than just screenings—with photo booths, costume contests, and raffles—these are nights you don’t want to miss. Bring your friends, bring your loved ones, bring your girl power.
“Heckerling walks a fine line between satire and put-on, but she finds it, and her dialogue could be anthologized.” – Roger Ebert
