The Kawaii Cafe
The Event
The Kawaii Cafe represents a group of artists who have been influenced and inspired by art, illustration, and fashion, inspired by the root word “可愛”.
We call this event a cafe because we wanted to create an atmosphere where patrons can come and relax, appreciate and talk about cute art, eat snacks, hang out with their friends and meet new people. This event takes place at 2104 Dundas Street West on November 18th from 12pm to 8pm.
The Idea
This event is meant to support and promote Toronto artists and to represent their work and influences.
How does this differ from any other event?
We are hosting a clothing swap station where people can bring their clothes to trade with other patrons. This is a great way for people to talk about fashion and trade clothing. There is a beautiful illustrated photo booth with props, so that people can take memorable photos of the event. The event also has a beautiful courtyard where people can gather and take photos with their friends and family.
The Artists and Exhibitors
This event will exhibit artwork that is inspired by the word cute. All artists of the event show their own take on cuteness which is expressed through their art. We also have collectors and creators who exhibit a line of curated J-fashion clothing and cute jewellery.
