The Happenstancers Present: DREAMS-BEND - Chamber Music
In DREAMS-BEND, The Happenstancers draw the listener into the world of the night and of dreams, contrasting the richness of Romantic chamber music with subtle and evocative contemporary works, including WORLD PREMIERE performances of new works by Nahre Sol and Micah Behr, commissioned for this programme.
This diverse palette of works evokes the unsettled, twisting atmosphere of dreams, and paints dark images of the night. With sudden shifts in colour and mood, and flashes of the familiar juxtaposed with moments of disorientation, DREAMS-BEND leads the listener into a fantastic world of night-characters and delightful grotesqueries.
