Comedy Nuggets presents The Funniest Show on The Danforth which is is THE MOST UNIQUELY ENTERTAINING comedy/variety show ON EARTH.

THIS MONTH's show includes Danish Anwar, DUO DAD, Anesti Daniels, Thurka Gunaratnam, and Chris Sandiford - hosted by Luke Lynndale. Join us on The Danforth at the Social Capital Theatre's cozy 2nd floor.

Here is a little about each of the performers in the show.

LUKE LYNNDALE

Luke is a Toronto-based, comedian performing stand-up, improv and sketch. He has performed stand-up in Comedy Brawl (2017, 2018), Comedian of the North (2019), the Boston Improv Festival (2018), Big City Improv Festival (2013, 2017), World’s Biggest Improv Festival (2016, 2017, 2018), and Best of Toronto Sketch (2018). He is founding member of DUO DAD (2013-present).

DANISH ANWAR

Danish Anwar is Award-winning comedian and probably the only Russian-born Indo-Bengali-Canadian standup comic you’ll see this year. His blend of global experiences, politics & nerd culture landed him multiple appearances on TV, radio & comedy festivals around the world, such as OFF-JFL at Just For Laughs Montreal, Magners Comedy Festival in Bangkok, Just For Laughs Toronto & the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

DUO DAD

"Watching DUO DAD perform is like watching an episode of kids say the darndest things, except it's two dads." - Matt Folliott, S&P, Chad Mallett, and current Canadian Comedy Aware Nominee K$S. DUO DAD reminds us about the beautiful communication that can and does exist between father and son. Through their improv, they remind us, too, of what really matters in life's roaring waterfall of meaningful moments: respect, love, and making a positive difference in the world!

ANESTI DANIELS

Anesti is a Toronto-based musical and sketch comedian, improviser, actor, and writer. He serenades his audiences with his delightfully dark, genre-hopping songs, that are a classy mix of observational and surreal humour. He recently toured his debut show “Songs for a New World Order” to the 2018 Edinburgh Festival Fringe where it was nominated for one of eight ‘Best Comedy Shows’ of the fest at the Amused Moose Comedy Awards.

CHRIS SANDIFORD

Chris is a comedian and actor who has performed across North America, for audiences in San Francisco (SF SketchFest) , Portland Oregon, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Montreal (Just For Laughs) and Vancouver among others. He is from the future and will somehow emerge as a candidate in the US 2020 presidential election. This run will ultimately be unsuccessful.

What are the parking options near The Social Capital?

There is street parking along Danforth Avenue, as well as a Green P parking lot located one block north. To access the Green P parking lot, drive north on Broadview Avenue to Erindale, then turn right.

Accessibility Info: on 3rd Floor - one small step at entry, 12-15 narrow steps to second floor/bar, 10-12 more narrow steps to third floor; third floor bathrooms are not accessible.
