The Coach House HQ of Coach House Books and Coach House Printing has a charmingly ramshackle coffee room. And for over 45 years, that room has served as a meeting space for writers, publishers, artists, readers, musicians and more. Throughout 2014, we've been using this space to host our Kaffeeklatsch series.

November's Kaffeeklatsch is of relevance to anyone and everyone who works in the publishing industry, whether it be through writing, freelance editing or design: money management. Essential basics such as how to best keep and file receipts, deal with HST, plan for the future will kick off the conversation, and then our discussion leader, Amanda Mills, will tell you tricks of the trade and answer your burning questions.

For more than 25 years, Amanda Mills has been working with arts organizations across Canada and with artists of all kinds to assist them in achieving financial sanity. She has taught business management at the University of Victoria and has prepared thousands of tax returns for writers, visual artists, choreographers, actors, filmmakers, broadcasters, and creative entrepreneurs.
