Tessera Collective - Humber's Intercultural and Creative Music Fellowship

Experience the culmination of the 2025 Intercultural and Creative Music Fellowship, a 16-week multidisciplinary project, with a concert by the Tessera Collective — nine Humber Polytechnic students guided by acclaimed Iraqi-Canadian artist Ahmed Moneka.

In alignment with the Aga Khan Museum’s mandate and inspired by the idea of “unity through multiplicity,” each fellow composed a piece rooted in their individual artistic style, which was then developed collaboratively with the group to create a suite of seven original works celebrating both individuality and community.

The evening will also feature two video presentations: a documentary preview capturing the ensemble’s 16-week creative journey, and a short film that weaves their music into a poignant story of conflict, reconciliation, and connection.
